Jimmy P

JIMMY P was born in Ostend on the 4th of November 1986 and he always had a real passion for music. As a teenager he started to mix tapes with a own pitch modified player. At the age of 15 Jimmy P bought his first real DJ equipment and started playing vinyl’s.
In his last year at high school he joined Sensei Sound Sessions, a local DJ-team. His position in this team forced him to play several different music styles, this improved his technical DJ skills. At that time he started playing at bigger parties, some of witch Sensei Sound Sessions organised themselves. Jimmy P became a allround dj who likes to mash-up several styles like Electro, House, R&B, and classic 70 - 90’s dance tracks.
3 years later that same DJ-team team changed name and started organizing bigger events and specialized professional sound and light rental. AMUSE was born (Allround Multimedia Service & Event Business). AMUSE became a well known party fact at the Belgium coast, it helped several clubs and organisations organizing big events.
Spring 2007 he started as resident DJ at TAO Ostend, a big club lounge bar. At TAO he can do his ‘thing’, mashing up several styles and giving the audience a good party night.

Sensei

SENSEI - Pops your Party with his eclectic mixing style. 23 years old and born in Ostend you can seek him, aka Niek Calcoen, underground in Ostend’s eXtraZone shop, where he’s shop manager since 2005. Through this job he discovered new genres of music.
If he isn’t in his ‘cd-cellar’ he’s at work in the nightlife scene : Organiser, DJ, Technician with sound & light rental and Party-Animal !
Although his own heart is lost to House music, as a member of the Amuse Dj-team, he has to play an extreme wide range of styles, from Dance, House, Electro –over Latin, R’nB, Hip Hop- to Disco & the better Hits from the 70’-80’-90ies…
He started mixing as a room-dj on his first own-bought equipment in the summer of 2000. At school he was always prepared to take care of the technical assistance during theatre, shows, … or to make the dancefloor rock on small parties.
First year after highschool he established “Sensei Sound Sessions”, which became a popular discobar for all kind of fests. Together with his three friends/colleagues they organise their own Summer Kick Off! Parties, a successful concept for students who wanted to celebrate the start of the summer. Their firm became more professional and was asked for several services in different entertainment branches. So beginning 2007 they changed name: AMUSE, the Allround Multimedia Service & Event Business, was born. Nowadays they’re specialised in sound & light rental, multimedia solutions, graphic design, party decoration, discobars & Dj-Team.
During almost 3 years residency at American Bar Potbelly’s near the Ostend beach, where he got the chance to develop his mixing skills on professional equipment, such as Technics SL1200, Pioneer CDJ200, Rodec, …, Sensei was asked on several occasions and venues in Flanders and beyond. His allround mixing was very popular on school proms, TD’s, beach-party’s… In April 2007 he became main resident-Dj in the brand-new TAO bar, a big club, lounge and resto in the heart of Ostend. There he gets the opportunity to reveal his own musical identity, which is inspired by labels and events such as Defected, Hed Kandi and Dj’s as Dennis Ferrer, Bob Sinclar, Martin Solveig, Mr. V, 2 Many Dj’s, Discobar Galaxie, …
Except of TAO, Sensei performs every week at very different locations & events : Ghent, De Cinema, Petrol (Antwerp), … where he shares the decks with big (inter)national Dj’s as Fedde le Grand, Dj Delicious, Culture Club residents, Buscemi ft. Squadra Bossa, Ya’Mo, …
And if you thought this wasn’t enough, he even finds time and inspiration to create his own exclusive party-nights with his concept La Fábrica, set up with the nightlife experience of Kim and hosted by his own firm and colleagues of AMUSE-events.be this is always a must have in your going out calendar !
In the future Sensei will try to maintain and extend his place in the nightlife scene as dj, club-resident, even producer as well as event organiser, both for Amuse-events as for his own concept-parties by La Fábrica.
You can book Sensei as an Allround Party Dj or House Dj for a single Set, for a whole night or as part of the wacky Dj Duo “Mashin’ the House” in which he’s accompanied by partner in crime Jimmy P. . In his house/electro sets he loves to use influences without any limits : Salsa, Oldskool HipHop, New Wave, … As long as his crowd keeps movin’ !
Prepare your feet and meet his beats. Just enjoy it ! -Vida Loca-

Fedde le Grand

Fedde le Grand was born in Utrecht on the 7th of September 1977 and he always had a real passion for music. As a teenager he started to spin records on the side. After finishing secondary school Fedde le Grand’s DJ adventure began when he started to perform at the Danssalon in Eindhoven, one of The Netherlands’ finest clubs at that time. Since 1998, Fedde le Grand has rocked every high-quality-club in The Netherlands and his tunes are considered to be the most energetic and danceable around.
Fedde le Grand does not only know how to play his records, he sure knows how to organise a thumping party as well. Being one of the innovators of the concept Sneakerz (2004) he created a formula; different venues with three areas throughout the Netherlands, all with their own sound, and a chance given to upcoming talent performing together with famous DJs. Sneakerz started off at ‘De Rechter’ in Eindhoven and it has grown into one of the best clubbing nights all over the Netherlands (‘Panama’ Amsterdam, ‘T Paard van Troje’ The Hague, Sneakerz@the Beach in Scheveningen and Bloomingdale).
Besides DJ’ing and organising club nights, Fedde le Grand has been producing since 2001. In 2004 this multiple talent teamed up with Funkerman and Raf. They started Flamingo Recordings, an independent record label where they have found a way to release their tracks without any compromises. This label has made them able to release tracks as fresh as they can be, with a new & always improving sound, appealing to a large group of people, without losing its underground identity. In a short period of time they have established themselves in the international label scene with releases licensed to partners such as Defected, Ministry of Sound and CR2 Records.
With the release of ‘Put your hands up for Detroit’ Fedde le Grand became known to the world. Eminem’s Detroit based hip-hop crew D12 has created a wicked vocal version over “Put your hands up for Detroit’ released early 2007. Not only well-known artists from the United States but various famous artists all over the world could find this man. Fedde created several remixes for Sharam, Freeform 5, Roog & Greg, Kurd Maverick, Tall Paul, Pete Tong, Camille Jones, Ida Corr, Anita Kelsey and Robbie Williams. Furthermore, Fedde made three compilation albums; The Ministry of Sound album ‘Sessions’ released in the beginning of 2007 and Top of the Clubs volume 33, released on Kontor Records in 2006. His first compilation album ‘Sneakerz’ was mixed and compiled together with Gregor Salto in May 2006.
At the end of the summer 2006 ‘Put your hands up for Detroit’ won the award ‘#1 summer anthem of Ibiza’. He reached the number one position in the official UK singles chart later in November. Other countries followed up quick and Fedde le Grand got more and more requests from all over the world. March 2007, his first international tour through Indonesia, Australia/New Zealand and Miami was a fact. At the Winter Music Conference in Miami – where this tour ended – Fedde took home three International Dance Music Awards; Best Breakthrough Solo Artist, Best Breaks/Electro Sound, and Best Underground House Track. He also won two Danish Deejay Awards and the Australian MTV Award.
‘Put your hands up for Detroit’ is not the only tune which has done great. His follow up ‘The Creeps’ a remix of Camille Jones reached the top 2 of the official UK singles charts. His production ‘Take No Shhh..’ was a major hit within the dance scene together with ‘Just Trippin’ and there is more to come. His F to the F project (with his partner Funkerman) ‘Wheels in Motion’ is currently making its way into Europe. Fedde’s latest remix of Ida Corr ‘Let me think about it’ is a funky impression of the original R&B/Funk/Soul sounding track, while Funkerman treats us with a pure House makeover of the track and they both have turned this beauty in one of the more potential crossover track of this time.
In May 2007 Fedde le Grand does a second tour through the United States and Canada to close his tour in China. Moreover, his first Artist Album will be released this year. During the summer of 2007 you can find him at the finest festivals in the UK and Ibiza. Check his schedule at www.feddelegrand.com. Fedde le Grand is the most requested DJ of the world at this moment…So, if you are a music freak we advise you to keep an eye on this self-made man because he will keep you going and making you coming back for more.

Delicious

Music plays a major role in every single person's life. Consciously or unconsciously, scarcely any of us can imagine a life without high and low tones and waves of sound. Music has played a major role in the life of Arndt Meyer Wegner, alias DJ Delicious, since the age of four. The son of a band musician was born in Frankfurt, and from his earliest childhood he was unable to keep his fingers off either radios or record players. The result was that he quickly learnt to use technical aids in a professional manner. In 1988, during a school exchange in London, he first experienced the energy produced by the early wave of acid house music. From now on, at the latest, his interest turned completely to electronic music. Directly after his return from London he began to sketch out his own melodies on an Amiga. Because this only delivered a restricted range of sound, the purchase of further equipment became inevitable, and shortly afterwards he was in possession of a complete studio. With his first public release in 1993, "Chaos Tribe" on Thomas P. Heckmann's old "Uptown" label, he laid the foundation stone for the coming years as a producer and DJ. A variety of successful remixes and commissions followed in the next few years: these were released under a large number of different pseudonyms on Urban / Polydor, Sony, and WEA.
A new chapter in his long musical career began in summer 2005 with the name "Phunkwerk Records", which proved to be an optimal platform for the hugely creative artist and founder of the label DJ Delicious. In no time at all Phunkwerk became one of the most talked about electronic Indie labels in the world. Thanks to his many different projects and huge variety of ways of producing music DJ Delicious has given a fresh and innovative face to electronic music, a face that refuses to be pigeonholed into any pre-fixed genre. This attitude – not to let oneself be musically castrated – is nothing but a completely logical consequence of almost 20 years of exposure to the climes of electronic music. "In the last two decades there have been so many great influences from all directions of electronic music that have also flashed me, that I definitely won't allow myself to be restricted now. It's all about cool and good sounds. That's it!"
And that's exactly what one recognizes in all the various projects and releases that also run through his DJ sets like a central theme.
Every single release from his various projects – like DJ Delicious & Till West "Same man", Phunk-A-Delic presented by DJ Delicious, "Rockin" or the DJ Delicious solo releases "Let it drop" and "Jaja" – has "exploded" on the worldwide scene so powerfully that they almost completely dominated all the relevant dance charts. Indeed they were – and still are – featured in the playlists of almost every international big-name DJ.
Alongside his own releases, he has also produced several remixes for artists like Fedde le Grand, Scissor Sisters, Erick E, Moguai, Chocolate Puma, Mike Monday, Cicada, Milk & Sugar, Tommie Sunshine and Marc Romboy.
Aside from his huge variety of productions and remixes, his DJ sets in which he presents a spectrum ranging from dirty electro sounds, House and Tech House tracks, via rock edits to techno classics, provide a mirror of his cross-genre musical fantasy and flexibility. His sets are regularly played on all the important radio stations in the UK, Canada, Australia,France, Holland, Brazil etc… His worldwide touring schedule covers all four corners of the earth and impressively demonstrates how close the special touch of Phunkwerk and the sounds of DJ Delicious are to the pulse of the age. Week after week visitors to clubs and festivals in Australia, Africa, Asia, south and north America and everywhere in Europe underline and celebrate the slogan of DJ Delicious: "It's gotta rock!!!"

Buscemi & Sq. B

BUSCEMI & SQUADRA BOSSA
Since 1996 Dirk Swartenbroekx is producing eclectic and widely approved warm music as Buscemi, named after his favorite actor. Dirk finally met Steve Buscemi earlier this year. Besides the dozen of singles, numerous highly acclaimed albums and countless remixes for international artists, Buscemi still spend loads of time as performing artist.
For maximum of energy, Buscemi plays with a full live band featuring Luuk Cox (also one half of Shameboy) on drums, Hans Mullens on bass and an extended horn section, supplied by Sam Versweyveld. Brazilian singer Viviani Godoi accompanied the band since the release of Buscemi's latest album 'Retro Nuevo'. Buscemi performed on some of the biggest festivals and venue events in Benelux and foreign countries: Rock Werchter, I Love Techno, Lowlands, Blue Note Records festival, Jazz Middelheim, Ten Days Off, Oppikoppi festival (South Africa), Montreal jazz festival, Burning Man festival in the desert of Black Rock City, Aca Sound Fest in Acapulco, Sokos Club in Helsinki and Café Roset in Moscow.
As dj, Buscemi created Squadra Bossa, a versatile format to upgrade dj-sets with some real 'live' sensation. Amongst the artists involved in Squadra Bossa are companion dj Stanley Livinsgtoon and musicians Philip Cortez (percussions and mc), Sam Versweyveld (trumpet) and additional sax and trombone players. Depending on type of performance, gig or even venue, the squad can be extended with some Brazilian dancers, makin' the fervid latin vibe complete. The Squadra Bossa style is definitely deep and hardly to categorise but best described as vibrant music, ranging from stylish nu bossa, tasteful latin house, irresistible afro grooves, infectious balkan beats, some drum'n'bass and dub madness and even smashing electro.
